Floor plan with labeled tables |
|
Here is the music for the flash mob. It is divided into clear sections:
VERSE CHORUS (2 sections) VERSE CHORUS BRIDGE CHORUS FINALE There is specific choreography that repeats for most of the sections. So get to know the flow of the song and when each section occurs. This will help you remember what choreography is coming up. |
SECTIONS 1,2,3 MAIN CHOREO. |
Here is the main choreography for the number groups. It includes both sections of the chorus: Marry the night AND ma-ma-ma-marry so you can see how one moves into the other and how it fits with the music. NOTE: I am not doing the mirror image (sorry), so you will be moving in the opposite direction if you are using the correct arms. I do the mirror image in the tutorial below. Groups 1 and 2 enter during the first and second verse sections. This tutorial will be ready for viewing by the weekend. It is very simple, so don't worry. If you are group 3, you will enter AFTER the bridge (Come on and run.) You are in this section because you either can't make rehearsals or don't have a lot of time to learn the choreography. |
SECTIONS 1A, 2A MAIN CHOREO. |
Here is the main choreography for the letter groups. Groups 1-A and 2-A enter during the first and second chorus sections. Group 3-A enters AFTER the bridge section (Come on and run.) You are in this section because you either can't make rehearsals or don't have a lot of time to learn the choreography. |
ALL- "RUN" CHOREO. |
Here is the choreography for the end of the bridge section. Everyone who has joined the dance at this point will do this section together. A complete explanation of when this occurs and where you will be is below. |
SECTIONS 1,2,3 CHOREO. BREAKDOWN |
Here is the tutorial for the number group's choreography during "I'm gonna marry the night, I'm not gonna cry anymore, etc..." (Chorus Part 1) Once you enter the dance, you will do this choreography every time this section plays. The letter group is doing something slightly different, so take a look at their choreography so you get an idea of their timing so you won't be thrown off in the dance. As long as you follow your section, you will be awesome! This section leads into the "Ma-ma-ma-marry" Chorus Part 2 section. |
SECTIONS 1A, 2A CHOREO. BREAKDOWN |
This is the tutorial for the letter group's choreography during "I'm gonna marry the night, I'm not gonna cry anymore, etc..." (Chorus part 1) Once you join the dance, every time this section happens, you will do this choreography. This is also the choreography that will bring you into the dance initially. You will first appear in the dance when you raise your arms at "night." The number group is doing something slightly different, so take a look at their choreography so you can see how it fits with yours and so you won't be thrown off during the dance. As long as you only follow your group, you will be golden. This section leads into the "Ma-ma-ma-marry" Chorus part 2 section. |
ALL-END OF CHORUS BREAKDOWN |
This is the tutorial for the "Ma-Ma-Ma-Marry the Night" section. (Chorus part 2) Once your section joins the dance, you will do this choreography every time this music comes up in the song. There are three options for the footwork and I show them all at the end of this video. Do whichever one you feel comfortable with. We will review them at rehearsals if it feels overwhelming. NOTE: When I do the choreography as a "mirror" for you, I use the wrong hand during the hip twirl at the end. I use my right hand (which would mean that if you were mirroring me, you would use your left) BUT USE YOUR RIGHT HAND FOR THE HIP TWIRL. |
ALL- "RUN" CHOREO. BREAKDOWN |
This is an explanation of the choreography for the end of the bridge section when Gaga sings: Come on and run... EVERYONE who has joined the dance by this time will be in this part. Just before this happens, Jane has brought Jen and Gen through archways created by us (ala London Bridges falling down) and the married couple will be placed in the center of the dance floor. We will surround them and be in place by the time this section begins. This is one of the sections we will go over on Sunday before the wedding, so if this written explanation seems confusing, don't worry. Just remember: FIRST time we run we move COUNTER CLOCKWISE SECOND time- CLOCKWISE |
